ADVANCED DRAWING

Advanced Drawing students explore a wide range of drawing media and techniques such as charcoal, pencil, ink, and mixed-media. Students extend the  technical skills they developed in Beginning Drawing to create art that is more reflective of the artist's personal taste and creativity.  Art historical examples and technical demonstrations are presented for each new project.   Major works are followed with critiques and self evaluation in written artist's statements.  Students who are preparing for art school will find that this is an excellent venue for creating worthy portfolio pieces.
