ADVANCED STUDIO AND ADVANCED PAINTING
Advanced Studio Art is combined with Advanced Painting in this year of many changes. Students in this class already have at lease two SAA art classes as their foundation. A curriculum designed to please the experienced painters and the artists expecting more autonomy to make their own plan was devised for this group. A wide variety of media and experiences characterize this semester of making art with watercolor, ink, oil paint, acrylic and a variety of mixed media. The semester culminates with students creating their own plan for a triptych based on one self-inspired theme. This course offers an excellent opportunity to accumulate solid portfolio pieces along with the documentation that often accompanies a college art portfolio.
