Beginning Painting
In Beginning Painting, students learn to successfully employ basic painting materials and techniques using a variety of painting mediums. Students learn and apply principles of color, value, and composition as they investigate and transform creative inspiration into works of art. Class discussion explores the formal elements of making successful paintings along with viewing a variety of 20th century and contemporary art emphasizing styles, methods, and techniques used in painting.
