FUNDAMENTALS OF ART

Fundamentals of Art provides students with a working knowledge of the basic principles, theories, and concepts of two-dimensional and three-dimensional image-making. This course explores creative thinking skills and develops artistic awareness. Students practice the basic skills and techniques necessary for creating traditional and contemporary artwork. This course provides students with an opportunity to build a creative foundation through the understanding of the visual language of art and a basic knowledge of art materials and mediums. Please note that this class does not satisfy the prerequisite for Advanced Drawing and Beginning Painting.
